Life keeps getting better in Estepona for their fantastic houses for sale in costa del sol.
Golfers, gardening enthusiasts, entertainment seekers, and lovers of the great outdoors and winter sports will reap the benefits of nearly €20 million of investment as Estepona Town Hall unveils its 2015 development plan.
Over three months beginning in January, a second Asphalt Plan will restore 35 town centre streets spanning 41,746 square metres in the main neighbourhood and suburban residential areas, including the Isdabe zone and Estepona Golf.
This follows the first such plan in July this year, the upgrading of four kilometres of rural roads from Selwo Adventure Park to the town centre, chosen for the vital role they play in producing 80% of the town´s agricultural output.
In what´s described as “one of the prettiest town centres in Andalucía,” Estepona´s ´Garden of the Costa del Sol´ project highlights the aesthetic attractions of this green and pleasant town – in which Paradise Marbella Realty is based – with the completion of 12 kilometres of new paving, water and electricity networks.
The bulk of the 2015 investment, €18 million, represents a 20% increase on 2014. Observers will see the authorities investing the money wisely as Mayor José María García Urbano launched the programme of structural works: a new theatre auditorium, football stadium and indoor swimming pool among the actions for the coming year.
Fast forward to Easter, Estepona will boast Europe’s biggest Orchid House – growing one of the world´s biggest orchids, Asian variations of the intriguing plant and other exotic members of the species, under a dramatic 30-metre high glass dome, 15,000 square metres in volume.
Occupying 1,000 square metres of the new Parque Botánico, the Orchid House will come complete with a spectacular 17-metre high cascading waterfall “so it can shine with brilliance”, while new niche businesses will spring up to service the anticipated arrival of nature-loving visitors to the novel attraction.
Last but not least, the construction of a hospital budgeted at €1.2 million and co-financed by the regional government of Andalucía is a key feature of Estepona´s healthy New Year plan.
Perhaps with keeping us fit in mind, the Town Hall brings 2014 to a fun and innovative finale with Estepona´s first ever ice-skating rink! Magically combining the extreme elements of the Costa´s warm winter weather and freezing cold temperature of a bona fide ice arena, it will be located in the area designated for Estepona´s new ´Grand Boulevard´ in Avenida San Lorenzo.
