Marbella’s property investors can take heart from positive market analyses that not only encourage Russian buyers during this challenging time for their economy, but instils confidence among British, German, Scandinavian, and, increasingly, Spanish buyers who search properties for sale in Marbella, if last year´s economic momentum continues as forecast.
Respected Costa del Sol legal practitioners and investment experts have praised the resilience of the high-end property sector, heavily dependent on Russian visitors, investors and residents.
Marbella is the favoured destination for the majority of this niche group – whose tastes extend beyond the Paradise Marbella Realty range of villas and apartments to the finest bars and restaurants, exclusive entertainment venues, fashion and jewellery stores, and some of Europe´s best boating, yachting and marina life at Puerto Banús.
According to Ricardo Bocanegra, founder of the prestigious Marbella International Club and president of the Federation of Foreigners´ Associations of the Costa del Sol: “There are many Russians who want to secure their future and if they see difficulties in their own country, Marbella is a safe place to invest. From that point of view we can be optimistic.”
Bocanegra knows what he´s talking about. Fluent in English and Russian, a specialist in Public Law, Administrative Management, and British and Russian Immigration to Spain, he recently received recognition from President Putin for his work advising Russians moving to Málaga.
Backing Bocanegra´s upbeat words, Jacobo Cestino, director general of Marbella´s exclusive La Zagaleta development, believes current global concerns will not affect the Costa del Sol´s high-end property investors.
These high-profile endorsements for Marbella´s real estate sector come as Baldomero León, director of Citizen Participation and Innovation at the Town Hall, announced he was stepping up investment in the daily delivery of social and cultural services using new technologies, “recognising the needs of neighbourhoods and districts with regard to municipal budgets in 2015.”
As further proof of the town´s visionary approach, and from the point of view of its widening investment landscape, the council launched Marbella Direct, a promotional campaign aimed at showing off its beautiful beach and mountain scenery and year-round climate.
Installed in Nagüeles, real-time panoramic sky and sea views are now being transmitted by webcam via Wi-Fi.
A technology-inspired information resource Marbella property buyers can also use to guide their purchase decisions, from wherever in the world they may be, at any time of day or night, to be enjoyed on their choice of device.
